Activities

The Montriche Group’s activity is concentrated in three areas, each conducted through Montriche.

Investment Holdings & Stewardship

The Group holds direct and indirect interests across selected sectors aligned with its long-term thesis on African economic transformation. Holdings are managed for generational duration rather than transactional return, with capital allocated on the basis of structural conviction and disciplined governance.

The Group’s stewardship approach reflects a deliberate preference for fewer, deeper positions over broad portfolio activity. Each holding is assessed against the Trust’s long-term principles, the structural integrity of the underlying venture, and the alignment of its leadership with the Group’s standards of governance and accountability.

Institutional Advisory

Through Montriche, the Group selectively undertakes senior advisory engagements at the intersection of institutional strategy and capital formation. Engagements are limited in number and focused on counterparties operating at sovereign, development finance, or institutional scale.

The Group does not solicit advisory work and does not maintain a consulting practice. Where engagements are accepted, they reflect alignment of objectives, the seriousness of the counterparty, and the strategic relevance of the work to the Group’s broader interests across the continent.

Legacy & Philanthropy

The Group’s philanthropic activity reflects its founding principle that legacy is measured in people, not in assets. Initiatives focus on African leadership development, institutional capacity building, and the architecture of generational wealth in underserved communities.

Specific initiatives are not publicly listed. Partnerships are formed selectively and over time, on terms that prioritise structural impact and long-horizon outcomes over visibility or short-term measures of return.
